Introduction
little guy is one of many little guys living inside the head of a bigger little guy. a scribble without age or gender, made to be a perfectly malleable mascot.
Background
little guy is the protagonist character of 'Hello, world!'’s animated video, which is a song that bargains with the listener, asking them what they want from a product and its creator. little guy was created to expand on that idea by embodying a blank slate. cycling through brand identities in search of the most fitting, or at least the most commercially successful, version of themselves.
this character was made to be the poster child of the project. not because they represent me, but because they best represent the project’s central conflict: the act of consolidating and shrinking a complete person into an image that’s easier to digest and consume. a hell of one’s own making.
